Control Rust Thrips in Banana with the Use of Starbunch Insecticide

Another effective insecticide from FMC Agriculturaland Crop Protection Products is the Starbunch Insecticide with active element, Bifenthrin.  This insecticide helps in regulating rust thrips from the development of the banana fruit up to the time it can be harvested together with giving bell injection.

A kind of pesticide, insecticides are similar to fungicides and herbicides.  They kill mites, spiders, insects and ticks by actinic action.  With that being said, FMC advise customers to be vigilant in storing and handling Starbunch.

·         Do not recyle its packaging when storing food.

·         Prevent granules from falling to rivers, brooks and other water courses to protect these from getting polluted.

·         Always keep sacks closed prior to storing it in a cool, airy place.

·         Do not store it near foods, animals, animal foods, fertilizers and other pesticides.

·         Keep it away from kids.

·         Do not leave empty packaging or throw it within the area.

·         Do not store Starbunch Insecticide under the sun’s rays for a long time.

·         Do away with used sacks from the other group.

·         Empty sacks need to be destroyed and buried in a local lawful disposal area or in an official dangerous waste dump.  Alternatively, dig it in a pit 500 mm in depth purposefully tagged and created for this reason further from water courses, tree roots and other plants and crops.

·         Shun from burning empty sacks.

Stocking up and handling Starbunch Insecticide must be strictly observed to prevent used sacks from contaminating the environment.  While it can be useful for crops and other plants, it can be very unsafe to people.

Control Annual Grass on Rice with Magister

Worried about the grass on your rice crops that show up annually?  Solve your agricultural and cropprotection problem with Magister herbicide which is sold in 5 and 20 litres with liquid hydrocarbons for solvent and Clomazone for its active ingredient.

Improper storage and handling is hazardous.  Here are a few first aid tips:

·         Inducing vomiting is not recommended when Magister is swallowed or taken in.  Take the person to a doctor instantly.

·         If eyes are contaminated, open the eyes by spacing out the eyelids and let in running water to continuously flow for about 15 minutes then seek medical help.

·         If it gets in contact on the hair or skin, get rid of the infected clothes and let water flow on the skin and hair.  Avoid scrubbing the skin.

·         Get the person to breathe some fresh air when inhaled.  Mouth to nose respiration can be given if the person is not breathing.  If symptoms persist, bring the him to a doctor.

To prevent such incidents, it is necessary that the procedures on discarding and storing Magister be followed.

·         Close the container and store in a cool, airy storage.

·         Do not put pesticides, fungicides or fertilizers near it.

·         Avoid storing it for a long time under the direct heat of the sun.

·         Storage room must be locked and situated far from animals, feeds, fertilizers, seeds, food and most importantly to kids and animals.

·         Observe the disposal procedures Under Australian Standard 2505 like:

Ø  Clear spills by covering it with clay or sand.

Ø Stop the spill to go through drains, creeks, sewers and other water channels.

Get a Bounty Cereal Harvest with Affinity Force

A cereal herbicide enforcer, Affinity Force is used for cereals and grass seed crops.  In tank mix form, it lengthens the range of the weeds and enhances the prevention of some wild pest plants.  It is applied to tiny growing seeds with less than 6 – 8 leaves.  To obtain excellent control, apply it onto exposed weeds that are not covered by other crops or wild plants.

To store Affinity Force, manufacturer FMCcrop recommends that it must be sealed in its initial container and placed in a cool, airy space.  Storing it in direct sunlight for a long time is not advised.

Proper disposal of spilled Affinity Force must be observed:

1.      Keep the spilled Affinity Force from spreading further by covering it with soil or sand. 

2.      Follow the Australian Standard 2507 procedure on the proper disposal of refuse:

• Keep it from penetrating drains, sewers, drains and other forms of waterways.
• Do not allow vulnerable individuals and animals to get close to the pesticide.
• Put it into accepted barrel the scooped, vacuumed or drained waste. 
• Use the appropriate solution such as detergent, bleach, or organic solvent to disinfect the spilled area and put the solution to the barrel where the wastes were emptied.
• Indicate the contents by labeling the barrel.
• Follow the guidelines of the State or Local Waste Management Authorities when discarding the barreled refuse.
• Ensure that the barrels are pressure-rinsed prior to dumping.  Undiluted chemicals must not be thrown on site.
